Our Faith and the Fervency of Our Prayers Determines Our Ability in Our Efforts for Christ
A person can relieve their scolding conscience by an explanation that they failed to finish the works of Christ because of the difficult circumstances in the place they have to live and work. When a person is ready to face the true facts, they will see that they failed because they did not believed in Christ for the very work's sake, and did not prayed fervently in His Name. What really determines' the effectiveness of our labor for Christ is the measure of our faith and the fervency of our prayers. If our faith is poor and our praying is indifferent; how can we expect to achieve much for Him?
We cannot excuse our failures by insisting that we lack the natural ability to do the work. I am convinced that God does not pass on a larger measure of natural ability to us when we are saved by grace, but I do positively think that He frees the powers of our souls when we give ourselves to Him. Only our Creator knows the hidden forces and natural capacity for development that is in our immortal soul. When these spiritual powers are released by the indwelling Spirit of God that is in us the whole world will feel this energetic force of the living Christ in a true born again Christian.

It was Jesus who said, ". . . Believe me for the very works' sake," He was pleading to our Father in prayer, for a faith that would not fail to give the salvation message of redeeming love to everyone in the whole world. He had us on His mind, you and me, and the generations not yet born when He gave us the right to ask anything in His Name.
While Jesus was on earth, the people of that time could see His miracles, hear His messages and be blessed by His ministry. The amazing fact is that the people of yesterday also saw Him crucified, dead and buried, but cared very little about this carpenter, Jesus of Nazareth, the penniless preacher of Palestine. They were too occupied in their own dealings of life to be affected by a suffering Savior. Does it not sound the same as of the people of today? The world of this day and age are far too busy to be concerned with thoughts of God and eternal life.
Is it not obvious that God's will is to show the Son's works to a dieing world? God our Father willed that the works of His Son Jesus will be achieved today, in this present world, through the labors and consistent holy living of His people. Let us pay attention to the earnestness of our Christ, and believe His promise to answer our prayers that the "Father may be glorified in His Son." Let us persist to believe on Him for the very work's sake and pray in Jesus' Name for power to reach the victory for Him on this earth. No matter how deeply tried we get, or how dark the hours may seem in the times of sufferings, we must carry on in prayer that our "Father may be glorified in the Son" throughout our services and our sacrifices in doing His work.
Let us always keep in our mind that the numerous years which have gone into the timeless past have not outdated the works of Jesus Christ, neither will the approaching ages bring them down. His magnificent works of grace completed in our hearts and demonstrated in our living and works will glorify God our Father in the Son throughout all the remaining ages, until Jesus returns.
